THE STORY SO FAR...(Hey, I think it's always worth the effort...)

British TV in 2098 is worse than we thought...

The proliferation of digital television in the late 20th
century has led to the creation of 1000's of channels worth
of total crap. Station broadcasters mistook the presence
of near-limitless bandwidth for an opportunity to show
Barney, Jerry Springer and re-runs of Cheers - 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week.

Quantity over quality has taken its toll on viewers; over a
hundred years later, millions of hours worth of Eastenders has
resulted in a Pavlovian association effect - chronic aversion
to television in any shape or form. Bizzarely, people have
returned to primitive pastimes such as reading, going for walks
with their family and beating each other up. Television
companies are spending money like Imelda Markos in a shoe shop,
desperate to regain a viewing share from the few illiterate,
unfit, uneducated souls that still watch 'Friends: The Golden
Years' and rent old Brandon Anderson-Lee porno movies.

AMATEUR WARS is the latest attempt to try and grab the ever-
dwindling market share. Two guys climb into the most lethal
killing machines ever devised (er, in Paintbrush) and try to
blow each other to hell with a surprisingly limited array of
weaponry.

With a cheesy arena, no special effects and broadcast in No-Sound,
the BBC execs have their fingers crossed that the couch potatoes of
Tony Blair's Cool Britannia (tm) will find AMATEUR WARS compulsive
viewing...

(15 mins later: Oh dear. I'll do better next time)

</crap attempt at irony off>
