Linux comes with GCC, offers an excellent development environment and IMHO kicks MS-Windows butt in terms of the strengths of an OS; with the possible exceptions of not having enough apps -- anyhow, it's free, it's great, it would be lots of fun to do development work with it for something like Yaroze. .. What would it entail, is it worth the time to even attempt to write something? p.
