I don't see any reason why this should be true. all you need is something on the playstation side that talks the same protocol as hss.exe and gdb just over the AR link, rather than the serial cable. Once I finally get my comms link card, I'm going to make this my first order of business. As to using the Action Replay with the replacement ROMS, I can't see what's wrong. Development using pirated yaroze kits or (maybe) reverse engineered hardware information is wrong, but I don't remember anything in what I signed that said 'thou shalt not use alternative download methods.', which is all that it's been suggested that anyone use them for. toby.
