PAL TVs are capable of NTSC modes because it is easy to adapt the way the TV draws the screen to display the NTSC sizes, but a NTSC TV doesnt have the same number of vertical lines as PAL TVs, so it cant display a PAL picture, and thats my theory on why there are PAL/NTSC TVs, and why there isnt any NTSC/PAL TVs.
