Is this data stored >somewhere else? > Hi Rob, The problem you have occurs on all Gun/LightPens, and is due to the fact that you have to have light present to trigger the sensor in the gun. The scanning method used by nearly all gun games is to check the trigger, and if it is pressed flash the screen white ( or light blue ) for a frame in order to get an accurate gun reading. The Namco gun uses the video input to set up a hardware counter, whereas the old guns used a software interupt.
