MOD Chips simply intercept the territorial code from the CD, and output all territorial codes instead. If the game knows exactly what the territorial code is supose to read, then it can check to see which territory codes the CD returns. If it seems to have an extra territory code, then it knows that it is running on a chipped PSX, or it's a pirate. But this should not affect NY systems. 'Darco
