If the controllers use the USB (Universal Serial Bus?), then technically there's nothing stopping you from using any number of controllers - you just plug in another one. However, there may be some limit to the USB architecture which prevents more than X attachments. And you'd have to buy extra connectors to connect a DS to the new interface...
