I'm surprised you weren't expecting the hefty backlash resulting from your original post. It was simply a result of the way you put your points across. None of what you said was particularly controversial - we've all had the problems you mention - but almost all can be overcome by putting in a the necessary leg-work. Your original post /implied/ you couldn't be bothered to do this, and that's why some members were a little irritated. Anyway, you've certainly provoked an interesting discussion/arguement.
