Virtually zero compile time, and performance usually as good as (and sometimes better) than VC++, and virtually anything you can do in VC++ you can do in Delphi. Only slight drawback is portability (coz the underlying language is pascal), but even then if you're careful this isn't as much of a problem. I think it appears regularly on magazine cover cds in a limited form. Charlie
