The problem doesn't appear to be caused by CodeWarrior. Looking back at old posts, a couple of people suspected it was the yaroze remote debugger, HSS.EXE, causing the problem. This does appear to be the case as I tried to debug a GCC compiled program and this hangs at the TestCard() call. That said, it doesn't look like there's much chance of getting TestCard() to work through PSComUtil or the CW debugger. Peter
