I was just getting the hand of DirectX 7 and 8 came along. ddraw has gone and been replaced by another set of functions.. of course its still backwards compatible.. but for how long ? Forget about buying books on it.. no sooner does a book come out on the latest version of DirectX when MS announce a new version.
