However i'm not sure if this will cure the problem (see snippet from the Net Yaroze Programming FAQ below) "Why does the output of printf() sometimes corrupt? Codewarrior sometimes drops bytes. The solution is to use SIOCONS. Dropping the baud rate helps, but does not eliminate the problem." Andy
