I know how you feel. I quit my games programming job a little while ago when it dawned on me I was going slowly nuts. Don't really want to do it again for a job. There's quite a difference between making games for a living and making them for fun. It's pretty gutting to have 18 months of your working life 'filed' never to be seen again.
