It always seems more than I think. I don't think that any of the Japanese folks do, most of the development is happening in the US and in Europe, with a couple of universities teaching using PS2 Linux kits (or starting to). If I had to count the number of people that I could name in a pinch, I'd say the number is in the 20's or so. On the other hand, it is probably some number more than that -- because every once in a while out of the blue someone I've never heard of will come out and ask me a question about a tool I wrote. I must admit though, it's a pretty fun platform to work with!
