This would leave a shoulder button free so you could have speed up and speed down buttons, which would help a lot in speed control. I think. Have you tried using ordinary sprites for the ground? It doesn't seem (yet) like you're viewing it from any direction but straight overhead. Though it'd be neat if you could. Thanks for confirming my suspicions about the spinny guy. I was concerned 'cuz ordinary shots didn't seem to be hurting it, though they'd hurt similar-looking enemies earlier. But I know how much of a pain it is to come up with new enemy graphics.
