The GPU has a 2K cache, which is not related to texture pages. Its 64x64 pixels for 4-bit images, 64x32 for 8bit images and 32x32 for 16bit images. The GPU has an internal CLUT as well, so that's basically a cache for the CLUT. So don't change CLUTs!
