I've actually got some code written already for a very generic A* search. It's been written on a Mac, so if you want to use it for Yaroze you'll have to make some slight modifications (very easy ones though). I'll get round to putting it on my ftp site sometime over the XMas holidays, along with some other stuff ;-).
