Definitely not that. 1. I only have a 102 key keyboard. 2. I think, but don't quote me, the "Windows" key simply sends the keycode representing "Ctrl+Esc". Trying "Ctrl+Esc" does not give any spurious C's. They seem to crop up in random locations. Sometimes in function names. Sometimes at the end of lines, for several lines. It can be irritating going over work just to delete them. Any other suggestions, of what may be the cause? -- jc
