Sillytuna's Wibbly Flag (tm) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Short: Goraud Shaded Textured Wibbly Flag (tm) with realtime user definable variables. Requires: PAL or NTSC Yaroze To Run: Run the batch file BATCH as normal To run in NTSC hold down the SELECT button on PAD 2 when the program runs (just hold it down when the batch file is being processed basically). PAL is just far better so I'm sticking with that, although everything is tested under NTSC properly. Author: Sillytuna (Alex Amsel) Email: alex@teeth.demon.co.uk or alex@intobeyond.com WWW: www.playstation.co.uk/~IBEYOND WWW: www.intobeyond.com [if you require internet design, java or cgi programming] This is my first Yaroze program. I haven't done much C and very little polygonal 3d stuff, so this is going to be a learning experience let's say. Added to that the Yaroze libs are crap so I've had to hack my way through them from the start. This program uses no gs functions other than to clear and draw the ordering table during its main loop. The others used a just standard setup functions, nothing more. The texture is split into several Goraud Shaded Textured Triangles (not quads) and rippled along with a fudged lighting effect. You can alter the ripples using the joypad. The D pad controls the menu and allows small changes to be made. The other buttons make changes faster and it's pretty obvious what ones increase and decrease the values. The MENU button resets everything to the default values. The SELECT button resets the current option to zero. To quit press both MENU and SELECT simultaneously. I'd like to do more Wibble (tm) programs but my time is short. Still, if anyone has any good ideas or algorithms I'll try and set them up. Visit my web page to find out more about me and my games. Perhaps you could do some programming or artwork for us, and could offer us work of some kind. Usually two of us work together, one more on utils. He'll be arriving early Easter to start work on a major game project (see the web site) but first we will do ManicX, a nice Pacman game for the PS-X!
