.Little Robot Hack. Well we finally got a shite little demo out. I'm quite proud of the lighting effects I managed to cobble onto the Yaroze libs though. Its not all turning out to be as poor as I first imagined. Just takes some tossing around to get used to it all. This demo is still the first Yaroze program I have written its just kept growing to try new hacks. One thing with this home coding lark is I'm crap at drawing, hence all the graphics/models are bollocks. Andy's going to fix this for me. Phew, next version probably wont be so embrassing. :-) So far his done the spinny planet thing, I've hacked and nicked all the rest. Except the model for the bot. I did that, and the texture too, oh and the big star. :-) Ya can tell can't ya? He has also done some excellent music and keeps nagging me to write a player for it. Will do will do. This version only supports PAL, I don't have an NTSC telly, so tuff :-). Maybe I could pick up and old cbm monitor from somewhere I could use. I have removed the map editor because it was a bit sucky, and I've hacked out a few things like gravity on slops because of a few glitches. The analog controller is still supported though. Oh I'll probably get the engine supporting triangles too faily soon. There arn't supposed to be gaps there!. Just can't be bothered to do it. Many more fun things to do than triangles!! I will release all of the source+tools when I am happy with it all. There are many more things I want to do with this. Oh that flash and crap flying around is a test explosion. I'll get round to tying it to the rocket code real soon now. :-) Well, let me know of what y'all think and watch out for the 'baby demo', Comming Soon. Who said you couldn't do fmv on the Yaroze? :-) code - Jim Pitts render - Andy Webb JiM- http://www.playstation.co.uk/~Sig1LL sigill@geocities.com 1997:08:27:01:55
