THIS WEEK'S NEWS: SUNDAY 22nd AUGUST 1999
Well, it may not be easy to tell but my current project "GEMS" has advanced quite a lot over the past week. I've re-written the entire source code from scratch after learning a few things and this is now included in the download. If anyone is interested in the source for Ver 1.0, let me know and I'll e-mail you a copy.
I've removed the Tutorial Page from the site this week. Because none of them are done yet, it seemed pointless to have a link to them so it will be back up once the Tutorials have been written. Please keep sending any comments you have about my projects or this site in general as they are very useful.
NEWS: SUNDAY 15th AUGUST 1999
Welcome back all !
I remember when I first started this site how I promised weekly updates. Well, that was before I realised how much effort has to be put into Yaroze programming to get even simple results out so the site hasn't been updated for months. Most of that time has been spent working out the Yaroze Sound Functions and looking at Universities which cover Games Programming. The thought of giving up full time work to join a University is quite a big step to take at my age (26) but It seems to be the best way into the Games Industry. Besides, there is only so much you can teach yourself....
I'm currently looking at the BSc Applied Computing course at the University of Middlesex so if you're a student on that course or a recent graduate I'd love to hear any comments you have about it.
For now, I've started a new project called "GEMS" which is basically a Tetris style game. You can download an early playable version by clicking below but I haven't included the source code because it's just one big mess at the moment...
Work on "EXON" has been suspended and may never be resumed.
