The game will make use of the ABTGS, well it has to doesn't it.
I think the key to game design is to design a game that is fun to play and then work on from there using that as a basis for the rest of the design.
The racing game I am working on is different to most, if not all, racing games on the Playstation as each of the character will, initially, be running rather than driving,
I was going to implement a newer control system where the user would have to tap the accelerate button in rhythm with the character to make them go faster, I have decided against that as the players hand could easily get sore. Instead, throught-out the game there will be a number of different shortcuts, certain ones for certain characters. These shortcuts will take the form of smaller 'games' where differing control systems will be implemented.

The monkey will be able to climg trees and swing between them, like tarzan, to gain some ground. To get the monkey successfully up a tree to get to the ropes the player must press the special button in the rhythmic fashion described above.
