Super Snail v1.0 (4/11/98) by David Johnston and Mike Goatly of ARM'd & Dangerous The Story --------- Errr..... You're a snail that goes quite fast and for some bizzare reason you feel it's necessary to try and find 5 spheres hidden around your current location. What's it all about then --------------------- Guide your snail dude around collecting coins, avoiding nasties and generally doing platform game stuff across six levels. As mentioned above the objective of each level is to find five spheres hidden somewhere. The title screen has a code displayed, whenever you complete a level this will change. Scribble down that number and you will be able to continue from that level instead of from the beginning each time. Your health is displayed top-left in the form of hearts. If you get hit you lose a heart, if you pick up a heart you gain a heart. Also, if you collect 100 coins you will gain a heart. The number of spheres that you still have left to find are displayed at the top left of the screen. Below that are any keys that you may have picked up. Game stuff ----------- I'd imagine everything you come across is going to pretty obvious but here's a run down just in case: Keys/Doors - Pick up keys, use them to open the locked doors Trampolines - Jump on 'em Red/Blue switches - At any one time either red blocks are solid and blue blocks aren't or the other way round. Hitting a switch will reverse the order. I've been told this was in Zelda but I didn't know, honest! Airdrafts - There are a lot of these, step in them and you will get blown upwards Lava - Just as in real life plunging yourself into lava is to be avoided Shoveable blocks - Some blocks can be pushed around to let you get to higher platforms Ice - If you are on an icey block you will skid when you move Collapsing floor - This will crack if you step on it and eventually crumble away Fake walls - There are a few hidden areas in some of the maps behind fake walls Help ---- I'd like to add some sound effects in but I don't know how to convert VAG files to VAB. I'd be grateful if anyone could give me any tips on how to do this using a mac.
