Hi, I have set this section up just to detail what happens on the short course at Middlesex Uni that I will be attending. After the course I will probably turn this section into a diary
section, detailing what I am doing on my Net Yaroze and so on.
OK then where to start, hmmmm
Well I finally decided to go on this course so that I would have time to code for the Yaroze, because I usually can't be bothered, what with spending most of my day using computers I just
didn't want to program when I got in, so this course was an ideal way to find time away from work, uni, and get into coding the Yaroze.
Well now the story really begins,
I sent off my registration form (to get a place) by e-mail to Peter Passmore, and sent my cheque by post to the Uni. the next day I phoned wood green campus up to see if they had a room available
shock horror, they had no rooms available, around this time a discussion on the newsgroup (SCEE freetalk) had started up about the course. This was basically people saying they where on the course and so on.
I then had an idea which was a good idea (which surprised some of my friends, as I was drunk at the time) this idea was to post a message to see if anyone wanted to set up a group, a group of members that were
going on the course and wanted to stay at the same place. I was extremley surprised by the response, well ok two people replied (DEnnis, & John). We decided to become a group, and we would all search for a place to stay...
Now I didn't expect a stay in London would be cheap, but come on, some of the places I called offered a single room B&B for $50 per night, which was well out of my price range, luckily I found a cheap B&B (£16 per night) which
when I told the other group members about they decided that I should book a room.
So I booked a room for three people, a couple of days latter I sent an e-mail about something to Peter Passmore who replied and asked me if I would help Karl find a place to stay,
Karl lives in France, so I e-mailed him about the place the group was staying and he replied saying he would join our group, so that night I phoned the place up and altered our room for three people to a room for four people.
This is getting a bit boring now, I will update this when anything happens or it will be updated with what happens on the course when I get back from it, which will be 1/8/98, but the page should be updated a couple of days after I get back.
