I'd like this to be a decent starting point for beginners. So I'm keeping these links Playstation related only.

If you're site would help a beginner then please mail me so I can include it here.

Newsgroups

The yaroze newsgroups. Ask any question your heart desires. As long as it involves a certain black Playstation. A veritable goldmine.

SCEA

The American Net Yaroze (mirror) site. Started to feel eerily quiet, but still very easy to navigate.

Official Tutorial

Basically a collection of programs written to demonstrate 2D methods on the Yaroze. Now with documentation!

F.A.Q.

SCEE's officialFAQ. Very useful. Definitely worth reading before you go to a newsgroup.

Was one of the most active of the Yaroze sites. NOW featuring FLib - A package to help get round some of the hidden and more hardware specific problems that are a feature of Net Yaroze, and includes FControl which has functions to use almost every Playstation controller in existence. A pity I've only got the two standard pads then.....

Proof that you can learn C after you buy your Yaroze, NickF's site is also the home of the "Members' Demo Hub", a one stop shop for various members' demos.

You want physics? You got it! And lots of lovely source code showing how it's done too.

Ira Rainey

Contains a must have sprite tutorial for beginners. Click on the spinning disk when you get there to go to the ftp site.

Dr. Peter Passmore

Middlesex University now runs a Net Yaroze course. Go here for a 3-D tutorial from (probably) the most qualified Yaroze coder about.

Rob Swan

One of the more prolific coders on Yaroze. This site contains lots of source for numerous games, and some technical documents including one on dynamic TMD's and another on problems (errors, ommisions etc.) in the Passmore tutorial.

Scott Evans

Famous for being the Yaroze member who got a job at Codemasters. Has a series of technical notes on his pages.

James Chow

From setting up your Yaroze to displaying in Hi-res.

Richard Cutting

Sound For Dummies Tutorial. That's what I like to see, something written for my level.
