My vision of Emotion follows..... The thing is set in space and some of it is current space technology and some of it is a bit futuristic... but all objects must look credible. Thus all the translucent objects have to be under some futuristic pretence... e.g.: the ship's shield may eventually have some electrical dischage or aurora texture to demonstrate that it is some sort of electrical force-field bobbins. The game is a depiction of a fictional real life event (if that makes sense). E.g. the ship object is an actual ship ......and it is not just that shape because it looks interesting and is 'pointy'. Every thing should look vivid and clean so there should be only few textures that look dirty or corroded if any --- if the spaceship was perceived to be a shuttle craft that made re-entries then that for example might have dirt on its underside and nose cone. Objects should look precision made --- any pannels which are perceivable are only perceivable from their shading or shape and not because of any gaps or over-laps between them. There should be no obvious fixings like rivits or bolts. The background should be made-up of real astronomical features or credible imaginary ones... so Matt's background is ideal (when it's fixed ofcourse) .... and at the same time it provides a lot of colour with not much black void. Vivid colour is good....and any vivid colour is all the better if it has be a credible reason for it's inclusion -- in the context of the game being a real life event. ... I think that's it. Jon
