Snake v0.95 Beta (PAL) This game was created by Johan MacLeod My email address is j-mac@lineone.net I thought a simple game would be a good thing to start off with (this is my first yaroze project). So I decided to create a clone of the old classic "Snake". Instructions Pick up the gems, and your snake gets longer! The Score is decreasing all the time, to reward the player for picking up gems as quickly as possible. Select options in the menu, with x. In-game pause is available on each pad (press start) but the same pad must be used to un-pause. Use up and down in name entry to change letters, Square/triangle will go back a letter, x moves on to the next letter. When auto-save in the options menu is on, the game atomatically saves after a high score has been gained Change cd-track in the options menu using right/ left (once cd audio is activated by pressing x when the cd option is selected). The game loads a snake save game from the second memory card slot when the game is run. The Score tables are empty as default at the moment. New to version 0.92 is a save feature, which allows you to start the game on certain levels once you have previously got to them. This is wiped when you reset the playstation (there is no memory card save for this at the moment). The game will save every 5 levels. To start on a level, press right/left on the pad when "one player game" is selected. New to 0.95 are the 3 player and 4 player multi-player modes. The idea is to get the most gems. The player who survives the longest gets a 'survival bonus' which is multiplied by the number of lives that that player had when he died. The standard bonus is 2 gems per life (ie you get 2*number of lives left as a bonus). The coop (cooperative) mode gives the players one set of lives and gems between themselves. The object is to get as many gems as possible, while cooperating! In modes where there is a high score table, the next score to try for is displayed on the top right of the screen, with it's ranking in the table and the name of the player that gained it.
