I find the easiest way to learn is to 'see' the problem. The NetYaroze reference manual is pretty poor in explaining itself (for example, SetDispMask, where the comment for the workings of this function is "set display to Display"!!!)
The tutorial notes you find here will be image-based, so that you will be able to see how things relate to each other. Unless stated, the explanations are my understanding of the inner workings of the NetYaroze. I'll try to get these tutorials checked with guys at Sony, to confirm my explanations.

Ordering Tables
They are vital to the operation of the NetYaroze. What are they?
How do they work, and how should you call them?
PACKETs
What on earth? Nothing to do with what your NetYaroze was delivered
in. Everything to do with what your NetYaroze delivers your on-screen
graphics in.
Game flow
A suggested method of organising your C code to create a generic
game structure.
