The Hex Heroes
Snowball Fight - How to Play

Okay, the credits screen loads up and fades - the title screen then appears. From here, you can quit or select one of the three battle stages to play. When anybody has won any points, there's also an option to clear the score tally
(by pressing START simultaneously on both controllers - seemed fairest).

You select your stage and prepare for battle.

Snow begins to fall from the sky, settling in a few distinct patches. Running over to one (with the DIRECTIONAL BUTTON), you discover the first problem - you're trying to run across ice.

Inertia is now a consideration.

Managing to steer yourself back on to the snowpatch, you collect some snow with the CROSS button. A snowball indicator begins to grow on your information bar. The bigger the snowball, the more damaging it is (four direct hits from full-size snowballs will take the other player out). As you collect snow, the snowpatch disappears and as long as you stand on it, it won't grow. This keeps the gameplay dynamic.

You aim your direction pointer with the L1 and R1 shoulder buttons until it points menacingly at your opponent.

When you're sure, you press the SQUARE button to throw your snowball.

(OUCH!)

Overjoyed with your new-found talent, you paddle across some water. Some very, very cold water. You lose energy. Running across water is alright for short distances if you're already going quite fast, but don't stand still with your toes wet because it's quite hard to get moving again.

You accidently hit the TRIANGLE button. Your targetter switches position.

After you're used to the basics, you can use this to whip your aim to a particular direction and pull off some fancy shots - but it's probably just left as is for the moment.

The standard control pad can be used to fully control your penguin.
The analogue pad is also supported and you can use the LEFT STICK for movement instead of the directional button (all of the other buttons are the same).

Pressing SELECT on the main controller during the game quits to the main menu.

You should play a few basic games before reading the tactics section.
