"O and X" Noughts and Crosses ============================= by Rikki Prince Finished: 5th April 1999 Yea!! Noughts and Crosses!! Everyone's favourite. Well only with a pencil and a pad of paper, on a shitty boring train ride, not on an amazing machine like the PlayStation. I've just written a load of stuff on my website, so read it there, coz I'm not repeating it here. (sorry!!) E-mail me if you half like it, or if you have any clue about computer AI How To Use ========== BASIC: D-Pad - Move cursor Cross - Place marker Select + Start - Exit game AND A FEW EXTRAS: R1+L1 at the title screen instead of Start - Allow both players to use the pad in port 1 Triangle - Shows which player occupies each space on grid, on the PC screen, through Siocons. I suppose if you delete the stuff which loads cross.tim and nought.tim in the auto file, you could play blind, and show where each player is via the PC screen (though you'd lose my lovely title screen) Square - Resets game with no winner (if your opponent doesn't know, you can cheat with this, if you're gonna lose!) Unless you press R1 and L1 instead of pressing Start, you will need to use two pads, one for each player. If you can't be bothered to get a second pad out of the drawer, press R1 and L1, to make it easy. Finally, the source is included, but it's not commented too well. If anyone can work understand what is going on in the code, and can figure out anything good to do to it, please feel free to do it and then tell me, while I get to work on my next project.
