STORY! | All began
10 years ago, when I first got a C64 in my fingers. I was never really interested for
gaming. But I was absolutely enthusiastic by the possibilities of programming this little
box! Well, first I thought I would only make games. With two friends we founded a group called "Zenit".. and we started a TextAdventure. We finished 95%! Everything worked fine. We had a AdventureEditor which allowed us to edit the whole text, links, objects and possible actions outside of our gameEngine. It was a hard piece of work and we hoped to win a competition organised by a German magazine. The whole thing was programmed in VisualBasic under Windows. But we lost interest and so we never finished. But I'll perhaps take this project up and do a DOS version.. I lost more and more interest of game programming, coz one day (I think it must be 4 years ago, during a rainy autumn day) I saw a incredible demo called Second Reality by the group Future Crew. This changed a lot! With Phred we founded a PcDemoGroup called "Newlook". After some time we changed the name to "NOWADAYS". If you don't know what demos are, go through my demo.related links. Demos are a mix of musik, grafics and REALTIME animations (3D, 2D, sounddeformations etc.) - like in games, but without any possibilities of interaction by the "spectator". The demoscene is quite big and exists since PCs (Commodore, Atari, Amiga etc) and even PLAYSTATIONs got within one's means! At the moment I'm studying at the ETH Zürich informatics.
