Version 1.6
I'm proud to present for the enjoyment of the Yaroze
community the latest release of RsdANIM.
New In This Version...
A selection of new real time edit tools, including:
-
Stretch/Squash Deform
-
Magnet Deform (wacky and great, behaves a lot like
the Mario's rubber face title screen on Mario64). Maybe someone'll find
a use for it....
-
Bend
-
A new animation data file format (which I'll call Type2), which produces
much smaller quicker animations.
-
A new version of RSDANIMLIB to support Type2 animations.
-
Vertex re-ordering.
-
Triange to Quad conversion.
-
More TMD primitive types supported (now covers all primitves available
via the Yaroze libraries).
-
Polygon properties dialog to allow explicit setup of transparency rates,
vertex colours and shading schemes, etc, on an individual polygon, group
or whole model basis.
-
Embedded Volumetric Point Lightsource generation. For the lamp &
torch effect you always wanted....
-
New scripting language built in. Based on my
own JavaScript interpreter with the WWW stuff taken out and 3D modelling
and RsdANIM specific classes added in. Let's call it R-Script, but anyone
familiar with JavaScript will be right at home.
-
Much improved 3d edit views (much less viewplane clipping) with panning
and area zoom.
-
Some basic modelling functions (more to come), including:
-
Polygon creation
-
Tetrahedrons
-
Cubes
-
Cylinders
-
Sphere's
-
Bugfixes to loads of stuff (bone deletion, vertex/poly deletion, axis locks,
etc)
-
Lot's of minor additions and tweaks to the GUI (more popup menu's in the
project manager, better menu's, etc)
-
Texture Wrap dialog improved to show the actual texture.
There's more, but I forget.....
All written from scratch by "A. NiceGuy" (me), and delivered unto the
public (you).
