Computer Graphics - Principles & Practice - Foley Van Dam Feiner Hughs ISBN 0-201-84840-6
Has to be the definitive computer graphics reference

Linear Algebra - Schaums Outline series ISBN 0-07-038007-4
If you need to brush up on this, Schaums I particularly like because they have worked examples all the way through.

C A reference Manual ISBN 0-13-110933-2
The C manual reference I have - prob not as good as K&R.

Animals In Motion - Eadweard Muybridge ISBN0-486-20203-8
OK not everyone has access to full motion capture equipment, well this book is the next best thing. Eadweard Muybridge did research into animal and human motion sometime in the 1890s, his work, summarised in this book, consists of several series of photographic plates showing the movements of various animals. I think there is also another book in the series called People in Motion . Ideal for working out which limbs go where when you're trying to animate something.

Black Art of 3D Game programming
Not a book I actually own but there is a chapter from it at
www.waite.com/books/lib/BA_3D_Game_Programming/ba3d_chapter/index.html
describing some simple AI.
