This is my second Net Yaroze game.
Blockout is a clone of the classic bat and ball game, Breakout.
It involves a number of different blocks that the player must remove to complete the level. This is done by hitting the blocks with a ball and keeping the ball(s) in play by reflecting the ball using the player's bat at the bottom of the screen. There are a number of special blocks, which when hit reveal a power-up which will fall to the bottom of the screen. If you can catch the power-up with your bat then the power-up can be used to help you. See below for a description of the power-ups available in the game.
There are ten different levels in the game, after the tenth level the levels are repeated in a random order, up to a maximum of level 999!
This game was developed as part of my final year project for my BSc (HONS) in Software Engineering, which I am currently on at Sheffield Hallam University.
The game is for one player.
There is also an option to play a music CD while you are playing the game.

PAL ONLY at the minute.
