Links to Member's Sites:

  • Nick Ferguson--Great person who helped me out from even before I got my NY. Nick's site is very popular and generally a great source for anything NY related.
  • YarozeScene--A collection of Yaroze members who are still actively coding. Great message boards and a supportive community.
  • Scott Campbell--Also another helpful member who always responded to my emails. Scott's site has good tutorials and a few game demos.
  • Harvey--A technical genius who's demos are just plain impressive. Check out his site for near-commercial quality games and demos. If I knew as much as he did about game programming, I would be programming a PS2, not a Yaroze!
  • George Bain--One of the SCEE engineers who is involved in the Yaroze community. Great tutorials are on his site. Very clear and clean coding. These are the ones I generally use as a basis for my games. Always a big help when you email him.
  • Matt Verran -- One of the big guys over at YarozeScene. A very friendly person who is good at keeping the community alive and kicking.
  • QuietBloke -- QuietBloke is the man behind the popular Yarozians. Also very amiable and a great fellow to know.
  • Darkhex-- Newly formed PS development team with a lot of potential and great games in the making.
  • Jon Prestidge --The man behind the "Obli" series of games. Visit his site and check out Obligator.

Links to Excellent Tutorials:

  • All Purpose Tutorial--Tutorial covering all aspects of Yaroze programming by George Bain.
  • Sound for Dummies--the best sound tutorial available for Yaroze; author is unknown.
  • Memory Card tutorial--by James Chow, showing how to write/read from the memory card.
  • 3-D tutorial--by Peter Passmore. Excellent tutorials which give an in-depth explanation will have you 3-D programming in no time.
